Humane Society of Greater Miami

WHO WE ARE

Since 1936, the Humane Society of Greater Miami has been dedicated to improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them throughout Miami-Dade County. The organization provides shelter, medical care, and adoption services for hundreds of homeless dogs and cats while helping thousands of pets find loving forever homes each year.

In addition to its adoption programs, the Humane Society operates a preventive veterinary clinic offering affordable spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and other essential services to help reduce pet overpopulation and support pet owners facing financial hardship. Through educational outreach programs in schools, libraries, and community organizations, the Humane Society also promotes responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, and the human-animal bond.

As a nonprofit organization supported by donations, grants, and fundraising efforts, the Humane Society of Greater Miami continues its mission of creating a more compassionate community for pets and people across South Florida.
